Agartala, Mar 18: To ensure clean drinking water in Agartala, the Municipal Corporation, Water Board and Smart City Project have jointly undertaken 36 projects. 

AMC Mayor Deepak Majumder, during an inspection of a newly constructed water tank in Bhattapukur Kalitila area on Tuesday, urged residents to be patient as work progresses. 

He said that the Rs 17 crore facility is expected to benefit 200 households once operational within the next one to one-and-a-half months. 

According to the Mayor, the AMC authority is committed to address water shortages and once all projects are completed, the city’s drinking water issues will be significantly reduced.
