43rd book fair organizing committee meeting held

Agartala, Nov 19: A meeting regarding the 43rd edition of the Book Fair for 2025 was held on Tuesday at the Mukta Dhara Auditorium in Agartala. The meeting was attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA, Dipak Majumdar, Deputy Mayor of Agartala, Monika Das Dutta, Director of the Information and Cultural Department, Bimbisar Bhattacharjee, Chairman of the Cultural Committee, Subrata Chakraborty, and others.
The discussion during the meeting focused on several important aspects of the upcoming 43rd Book Fair, including the selection of the venue and the theme. It was also an opportunity to reflect on the success and feedback from the 42nd Book Fair, with remarks provided by the Director of the Information and Cultural Department.
In his address, MLA Dipak Majumdar confirmed that the upcoming Book Fair will once again be held at the Hapania Fair Ground, continuing a tradition that has become an anticipated cultural event in Agartala. Majumder highlighted the importance of the fair as a platform for promoting literature and culture in the region.
The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors, with exhibitors and publishers from across the country showcasing their work, as well as a series of cultural events designed to celebrate the literary heritage of Tripura, Majumder added.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to ensure that the 43rd Book Fair will be an even greater success, with a range of activities planned to engage the public and promote a love for reading and the arts.
