5 Rohingyas detained amidst tight security cover

Kailasahar April 24: Amidst ongoing election fervor in the state awaiting the 2nd phase of Lok Sabha elections, five Rohingyas were arrested from Kailashahar Paiturbazar Motor Stand area and brought to Kailashahar police station on Monday morning.
According to the details of the incident, five Rohingyas illegally entered India by crossing the barbed wire border of India-Bangladesh in Maguruli area and came to Kailashar Paiturbazar Motor stand to avail vehicles for Hyderabad.
Acting upon specific information from secret sources, the police of Kailashhar police station rushed to the spot and detained them.
Two of these five persons are minors, they are members of the same family, their names are Alim Uddin age 48, son of Lt. Abdul Hasan, Abdul Shuku age 18, Shahid Hasan, Sanuara age 38, Shahid Hasan, all from Myanmar refugee camp, said Unakoti District Superintendent of Police Kanta Jahangir.
