63-year-old Bangladeshi held with Indian Aadhaar card from Indo-Bangla border

Agartala, May 20: The troops of Border Security Force (BSF) held one 63 years old Bangladeshi national with Indian Aadhaar card from Maguruli area along the India-Bangladesh border in Unakoti district of the state on Friday night.
The detained Bangladesh national, identified as Md. Sayed Ali along with other three persons were crossing the international border.
The incident took place after the BSF troops spotted at least four persons crossing the border along the Maguruli bordering area. Following this the border troops chased them and managed to detain the 63 years old Md. Sayed Ali while other three persons with him managed to cross the border to land in Bangladesh.
The detained person hailed from Bangladesh Habibganj district crossed the border in the year 2004 with valid documents to land in the Indian territory and got settled in Delhi and never returned back to his hometown in Bangladesh before he was detained on Friday night. He was supposed to land to Bangladesh due to some unknown reason.
Bangladesh currency amounting to Rs. 28000 along with other accessories and Indian Aadhaar card was recovered from his possession. The BSF troops later handed him over with the Irani police station.
