Dharmanagar Feb 07: Aadhar Office in North Tripura District’s Dharmanagar has been closed for a long time but no alternative arrangements have been made by the administration.
Earlier there were three workers whereas at present there is only one employee working in the Aadhar card section.
On being asked about this, the authorities informed that because of illness the other employees are absent at work.
However, the locals raised allegations over the ‘negligence’ of the administration as numerous people from different villages rush to the Aadhar section every day but return empty handed.
Talking to the reporters over this issue, the SDM said, “We are aware of the situation and the DM has also been informed about it”.
Meanwhile, the netizens staged a protest in Kadamtala for not getting proper Aadhar service alleging, “Where the state government is preaching ‘Good Governance’, people are deprived of an important service”.
Now, it remains to be seen what steps the SDM takes to resolve the issue.
