Santirbazar July 08: Acting on a tip-off team of Santirbazar sub-divisional administration raided various shops on Friday. Reportedly, gas cylinders are being sold illegally at high prices in different parts of Shantirbazar subdivision. DC Kamalakanta Debbama, DC Anupam Chakraborty, Food Section worker Shivshankar Majumder and Santirbazar police raided the shops in Debipur ADC Village and seized 11 gas cylinders from Ahit Mia's shop and 10 gas cylinders from Abul Kalam’s shop that were stored illegally. The shop owners could not show any valid documents of the gas cylinders. DC Anupam Chakraborty said legal action would be taken against the owners of the two shops. He also added, such campaigns will continue in the future as well.
