Agartala Jan 10: Biplab Kumar Deb, MP West Tripura Lok Sabha Constituency chaired a crucial meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee on Friday at the old terminal of Agartala Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, focusing on infrastructure enhancement and elevating passenger services.
The meeting aimed to strategize improvements and discuss actionable plans to uplift the airport's facilities and user experience.
Apart from the former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, former MLA Bhagaban Das, West Tripura DM Dr Vishal Kumar, AMC Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav, Airport Director KC Meena among others took part in the meeting.
Talking to the reporters, MP Biplab Kumar Deb who also holds the position of Chairman, Airport Advisory Committee said, “Every six months the advisory committee convenes in presence of the authorities, Chief of Airlines, Security heads among others to address the issues and chalk out strategies to further develop the services”.
“Today, important discussions were held, addressing the current challenges and exploring innovative solutions to enhance the airport’s infrastructure. Also, emphasis was placed on developing state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, and streamlining operational efficiency” he added.
Biplab further informed that talks were held to increase the number of direct flights from New Delhi to Agartala, high stall rents at the airport, resumption of Agartala to Shillong and Agartala to Aizawl flights among others.
Deb ensured successful implementation of proposed improvements, aiming to provide superior services and a seamless travel experience for all the passengers.
