AMC is committed towards addressing the needs of city dwellers: Mayor

Agartala Jan 29: In a significant move toward improving the city's infrastructure, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar conducted an inspection of the ongoing culvert- drain project along the road from Battala Shiv Temple to Dashami Ghat on Wednesday.
This project, costing Rs 4.5 crore, aims to provide much-needed drainage solutions for the area.
During his inspection, Mayor Majumdar while talking to the media persons said, “The locals of Battala to Dashami Ghat Road under Ward No. 34 have been demanding culvert drains on both sides of the road for a long time. To fulfil that dream of the locals, the work has already started which will bring relief to the residents especially during the rainy season”.
The culvert drain project is expected to significantly alleviate waterlogging issues and enhance the overall quality of life for residents in the area. This development represents a crucial step towards modernizing Agartala's infrastructure and ensuring sustainable urban growth, he added.
Corporator Jahnabi Das Choudhury, MIC member Tushar Kanti Bhattacharjee along with other officials accompanied the Mayor during his visit.
