Agartala Nov 18: Under the present BJP- led government, qualified persons are inducted into services at various departments of the state government. This has facilitated the delivery of government services to the common people of the state in a finer way, said Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ratan Lal Nath.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath made the above statement on Saturday as he distributed job offer letters to a total of 37 persons for the post of LDC under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (29) and Election Commission (8).
The offerees of the respective departments have to submit their offers by December 4.
Addressing the program, the Minister said, “The BJP- led government believes in transparent recruitment policy. Now, qualified and educated youths are recruited in to various posts of the state government through JRBT, TET, TPSC like examinations. Induction of educated and deserving candidates has facilitated better delivery of services to the common masses”.
Advising the new joinees to consider their departments as family, Nath urged them to work for the welfare of the concerned department and the common people.
He further said, “The present government is giving utmost importance to the overall development of the people especially the people in villages, farmers, poor and needy. The government is trying hard to generate employment opportunities and make the youths of the state self- reliant”.
“There are currently over 51,000 women-led self-help groups in the state. About 8 lakh women are associated with it. So far, about 85,000 women have become Lakhpati Didi with an annual income of over Rs 1 lakh”, he said.
In a bid to improve the lifestyle of the people, the state government is delivering services to the doorsteps of the common people.
“Drinking water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission, houses under PMAY scheme, toilets and others are provided to the people in the rural area to improve their lifestyle”, said the Minister.
Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Apurba Roy, Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Election Department Usa Jen Mog, Director of Agriculture Department Saradindu Das, Director of Horticulture and Land Conservation Department Dr Phanibhusan Jamatia among others remained present at the program.
