Agartala, Dec 26: With the initiative of West District Health and Family Welfare Society, a  District level award given ceremony of Asha and Asha Facilitator was organised at IGM hospital in Agartala on Thursday.

During the programme, five Asha Workers and three Asha Facilitators were felicitated for their dedicated service. 

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, West District’s Chief Medical Officer and other dignitaries attended the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Mayor Majumder praised the tireless efforts of the Asha Workers in ensuring essential healthcare services in their respective areas. 

He lauded their role in strengthening grassroots healthcare and bridging the gap between communities and medical facilities.
