Kalyanpur, Jan 22: People of the State gave Congress and CPM a befitting response in the last 2018 Assembly polls and in the upcoming 2023 polls, voters will be united and will drive out them from the State, commented Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik at Kalyanpur on Sunday.
The MoS was addressing an election campaign at Dauchhara Bazar under the Kalyanpur-Pramodnagar Assembly constituency today. The meeting was organized by the Kishan Morcha of Kalyanpur Mandal.
Taking a jibe at the alliance between the Congress and CPM, Pratima Bhowmik said, it is terrible to think how the Congress and CPM supporters would meet the families of those who were murdered during Congress-TUJS and CPM regimes. However, she said the affinity between Congress and CPM is nothing new.
The Union MoS made a clarion call to keep faith in the double-engine government for the sake of uninterrupted development of the State.
She said that CPM was trying to mislead people alleging that BJP did nothing good for the people of the State. To this end, Bhowmik commented the double-engine government keeping in mind the Vision Document worked for the increment of social allowances, implementation of Kishan Samman Niddhi, improvement of rail, air and road connectivity. As a result, the overall socio-economic condition of the people could be improved.
In contrast, people were deprived of and suffered under the long years of the left rules.
