Agartala Nov 21: An autorickshaw driver was beaten up in Madhya Pratapgarh area on Monday morning.

According to details, Debajyoti Ghosh, a 30-year-old auto driver had an argument with another auto driver named Chandan.

Debajyoti Ghosh was on his way to Motor Stand area from Golbazar with passengers when another auto-driver Chandan pulled him out from the auto and beat him up severely.

Injured in the attack, Debajyoti Ghosh was taken to IGM hospital for treatment.

Talking to the media, Debajyoti Ghosh said that the accused auto driver Chandan had threatened him on earlier occasion and asked him to accompany to the syndicate.

But as Debajyoti was carrying passengers in his auto, he refused to do so when the accused auto driver stopped him and beat him up severely.

He added that a case will be filed at the local police station against the accused.
