Agartala May 10: In a heartwarming display of compassion, former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, stepped forward to assist a two-year-old child who suffered burns after accidentally falling into a hot pan. The incident occurred in Krishnapur, Radhanagar village panchayat of Rajnagar assembly.
The victim’s father, Arjun Tripura, works as a day laborer and with the family relying on daily wages for their livelihood, the situation was dire.
Upon learning of the incident, Biplab Kumar Deb’s office promptly dispatched a representative to Santirbazar District Hospital.
The former Chief Minister personally spoke with the medical staff to inquire about the child’s condition.
Recognizing the urgency, Biplab Kumar Deb immediately provided financial assistance of Rs 50,000 for the child’s treatment.
The injured child’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Biplab Kumar Deb for his unwavering support during this difficult time.
Satyabrata Saha, Vice Chairman of Santirbazar Municipal Council also acknowledged Biplab Kumar Deb’s humanitarian gesture. Dr. Prasenjit Das, a specialist in the paediatric department, confirmed that the child is currently out of danger but remains under close observation.
This isn’t the first instance of Biplab Kumar Deb’s benevolence. Recently, he arranged an artificial leg for a person who lost a limb in a road accident. His consistent commitment to social and humanitarian causes continues to inspire hope and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
