BJP leader accused of duping youths on pretext of job in Railways

Teliamura, Aug 19: The Khowai district secretary of the ruling BJP Bijan Kar was accused of duping youths with fake railway job promises. The Teliamura police station has registered a specific case against the accused following the direction of the Khowai Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
One Nabin Debnath of Shantinagar village under Teliamura police station, who was duped by the accused BJP leader accused BJP leader Bijan Kar of duping him on pretext of job in railways in the year 2018 last. He also alleged that the accused also took Rs 1 lakh from him for the fake railway job.
Accused Bijan Kar has been trying to avoid the issue and showing various excuses since long, following which the duped youth failed to receive back his money. The youth further alleged that he had approached Teliamura police station to lodge a case against the accused person, but the police refused to register the complaint due to some unknown reason. The accused also duped many other youths with fake job promises.
Later, the duped youth approached the CJM Court of Khowai district under the guidance of advocate Bhaskar Deb and Victor Ghosh. Following this the CJM court had directed the police of Teliamura police station to lodge a fraudulent case against the accused person.
On Monday morning, a section of duped youths of Teliamura pasted posters in Teliamura and Krishnapur assembly constituencies with the picture of the accused BJP leader. They sought legal action against him.
