Agartala Sept 08: On September 07, 2024, Saturday, the merit list to fill up the vacant posts for JRBT Group D- Multi-tasking staff was finally published after three years from the day of examination.
Following the delay in publishing the results, the state witnessed a series of protests by the job aspirants, student bodies of opposition political parties and many more.
Meanwhile, soon after the results were published, Tripura Pradesh Congress raised the demand of a judicial enquiry into the JRBT recruitment citing allegations of corruption.
Sunday, to counter the allegations raised by opposition political parties including Congress and CPI-M regarding the ‘’abnormalities” in recruitment process, Tripura Pradesh BJP conducted a press conference from the state headquarters of the party.
Addressing reporters, State BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty thanked the chief minister and the concerned department for publishing the results within pre-declared time.
Castigating the opposition over its remarks on ‘corruption’ and ‘abnormalities’ in recruitment, Chakraborty said, “We know, the results came late. But the reason behind this was to ensure a clean recruitment process so that the candidates do not fall into any trouble or lose their jobs in future”.
“The people in the opposition who are trying to make a scene out of it are the ones responsible for the fate of 10,323 teachers’ and similar others. Because of corruption, those employees lost their jobs. But our government led by Dr Manik Saha believes in transparency. We are maintaining a corruption-free government and in future too recruitment will be done in the similar way, may it be late”, said Chakraborty.
State BJP media in-charge Sunit Sarkar also remained present at the press conference.
