Dharmanagar May 23: In a daring incident of theft, the cash box of a shop near to the Dharmanagar police station was looted in broad daylight.

 According to reports, shop owner Joydeep Deb went to a nearby shop for some work at around 10:00 am on Monday morning. Taking opportunity of the situation, thieves broke into the medicine shop namely Mitali Chemist and looted at least Rs 20,000 from the cash box.

 Receiving information, police of Dharmanagar police station reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

However, a section of locals expressed concern over the rising incidents of theft and that too in broad daylight.
