In 2018, the 6-Agartala seat was won by Sudip Roy Barman on BJP’s ticket. He is now contesting the polls as Congress candidate. This seat is considered to be the stronghold of Roy Barman but Dr. Sinha, who is also a popular face in the area, will leave no stone unturned to register a win.

According to political experts, the constituency is going to witness the fight mainly between three candidates of BJP, CPI-M and Congress. Krishna Majumder of CPI-M had secured the second position in 2018 polls in terms of vote share. Though, many of the people are predicting Dr. Sinha’s win with a good margin, the possibility of a tough fight between the trio can’t be ruled out at this moment.
