Santirbazar Jan 18: Pressing for peaceful assembly elections in Tripura, a flag march was held at Santirbazar Gardang area in the presence of the CEO Kiran Gitte here on Wednesday.

South Tripura District Magistrate Saju Wahid A, SDPO Kulwant Singh, South District Additional Superintendent of Police Mihir Lal Das, Santirbazar SDM Abhedananda Baidya among others remained present in the march.

Talking to the reporters in this context, DM Saju Wahid A, said, “The district administration is putting vigorous efforts to ensure that the forthcoming assembly elections are held in a peaceful atmosphere without any incident of violence”.

From the day’s flag-march the DM, South Tripura appealed the voters to exercise their democratic rights without any fear.
