CEOs must get knowledge through training by CBBOs to get the success of FPOs in Tripura

Agartala, July 4. In order to do development, it is important to improve agricultural condition in the country as about 66 per cent people in the country India and also about 42 per cent people are directly involved for doing agricultural activities in the north-eastern state Tripura.
Keeping this in mind, Government of India has launched a new Central Sector Scheme titled "Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Produce Organizations (FPOs)" with a clear strategy and committed resources to form and promote 10,000 new FPOs in the country with budgetary provision of Rs 6865 crore.
A total of seven numbers Cluster Based Business Organizations (CBBOs) empanelled under the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in the State of Tripura followed by Basix Krishi Samruddhi Limited, Sesta Development Services, International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture, NH Consulting Private Limited, Sikkim State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited, Consortium For Training Research And Development and Qseal Agritech Private Limited.
A total of 37 numbers FPOs to be formed in 58 blocks of eight different districts areas in Tripura in accordance with government decision under the scheme. According to report, a total of twenty seven FPOs are being formed in the state at present but the training programme for CEOs are not being trained by CBBOs from different institution in view to continuing the activities of FPOs with profitable business plan on different agricultural based productions those are produced by farmers in different areas of the state to increase farmers income as double.
There is a successful FPO guided by NABARD called Bagma Agri Producer Organisation (BAPCL) here at Bagma area under Tepaniya R.D Block of Gomati District in which the concern CBBOs might come and take an initiative for getting training with experience from BAPCL in Tripura.
There was a meeting at ICAR Tripura Regional Centre where Kailash Choudhary, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare had instructed all the high officials and other concern persons for taking proper initiative in the consideration of training programme for CEOs appointed for different FPOs in the state Tripura to get success of the schemes launched by government of India "Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Produce Organizations (FPOs)".
