Agartala, Jan 05: A caretaker from Umesh Child Home, identified as Kalpana Das, has been missing from GBP Hospital for three days. Kalpana who hailed from East Gokulnagar has been working at the child home for three years, she was assigned to care for a sick child admitted to GBP Hospital 10 days ago.

On Friday, last after the hospital discharged the child, Das reportedly went missing from the premises. Despite extensive searches, her whereabouts remain unknown. Umesh Child Home authorities lodged a missing persons report at GB Outpost after their efforts to locate her failed.

Das’s parents, distraught over their daughter’s disappearance, have sought help from local representatives and the child home. Villagers, along with local leaders, confronted child home officials on Sunday, demanding urgent action to find her.
