Agartala, Dec 23: Preparations are in full swing at Shanti Rani Church in Agartala’s Mariam Nagar to celebrate Christmas Day on Monday next.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, MLA Ratan Chakraborty and others will attend the Christmas programme on Monday morning, Father Joseph said on Saturday.

On the eve of the auspicious occasion, a special prayer will be held after midnight on Sunday and another special prayer the next morning and a cake will be cut to commemorate the day, Father Joseph said.

Devotees from across the state and outside are expected to throng the church to mark the festival.
