Agartala July 16: Responding to the administration's call, various clubs in the capital city came forward to raise awareness against Covid 19. Masks were distributed among people under the initiative of Cosmopolitan Club on Saturday in Indranagar area of capital city. Moreover Covid -19 booster dose distribution camp was also organized in 5 clubs of Agartala city under the initiative of Club Forum.

Fresh Coronavirus positive cases are reported almost every day. Although the number of infected persons in eight districts of the state is increasing, the situation in western district is raising concern especially in the Agartala Municipal Corporation area. In this situation, the administration has called for compliance with the Covid protocols. Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Asim Saha held a meeting with various clubs of the city on July 14 and appealed to the clubs to increase awareness among people to deal with Covid situation.  

Masks were distributed among the people under the initiative of Cosmopolitan Club on Saturday. Besides, the people were urged upon to comply with the Covid protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and frequent sanitization of hands. An official of the club said they will run such a program for the entire week.
