Agartala Aug 04: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha is scheduled to leave for Delhi on Aug 5 next in order to attend a meeting convened by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Reportedly, the meeting has been called with the chief ministers of ten states and will be held on Aug 6-7.
According to information from official sources, the meeting will review the implementation of major central schemes initiated by the Central government after the BJP government came to power in the year 2014. This includes Prime Minister Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Fasal Bima yojana and host of other schemes for all sections of people. Reports have reached the prime minister that in some states the schemes have not been implemented properly and with the next Loksabha election less than two years away the central government has started reviewing the stage of implementation of the schemes.
Dr Manik Saha who is yet to complete even a year as chief minister has recently collected details of the implementation of the crucial central schemes was particularly disappointed over the condition of the Light House project which has irked a lot of unseemly controversies.
However, Dr Saha as Tripura chief minister will also make a detailed presentation of the implementation profile of central schemes in the state.
