Agartala Aug 7: Tripura Pradesh Congress observed in Agartala to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Chief Minister of Tripura, late Sachindra Lal Sinha on Sunday. A programme was organized in Agartala Congress Bhawan to this end.

Congress leaders and supporters paid floral tribute to a portrait of the late Sachindra Lal Sinha. Among others AICC secretary Szarita Laitphlang and veteran Congress leader Gopal Roy were present. However, PCC chief Birjit Sinha was not present at the programme and party sources said that he was busy with organizational works in other districts. Commemorating the day, Congress held a joining meeting in which TMC State general secretary Baptu Chakraborty and several others joined Congress.
