Agartala Aug 19: The 114th birth centenary of Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur was celebrated at Congress Bhavan on the initiative of Congress. TPCC president Birjit Sinha, former MLA Gopal Roy, Ashish Saha and other leaders and supporters of Congress remained present.

Speaking to the reporters at Pradesh Congress Bhavan in Post Office Chowmani, TPCC president Brijit Sinha praised the developmental works done by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya for the welfare of the people in the state.

Congress also paid tribute to the Maharaja at Agartala MBB Aiprport.

Cleaning the statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya at the Airport, Congress leaders Asish Kumar Saha and others garlanded the statue of Maharaja.

Congress castigated the ruling BJP government for not taking any initiative of offering tribute to the Maharaja’s statue at the Airport.
