Contractor Assn. Office set on Fire

Gandacherra Jan 10: Office of Gandacherra Contractors Association was set ablaze on Thursday night by unknown miscreants.
Learning about the incident from locals, firefighters hurried to the scene, successfully preventing massive destruction.
On Friday morning, the site was visited by the Gandacherra Contractors Association's president, Rabi Mohan Tripura, Treasurer Anyaram Tripura, and other association members. A significant police presence, including OC Gandachhara Police Station, Asim Sarkar, also arrived to assess the situation.
In a press briefing held later that day, president Rabi Mohan Tripura provided a detailed account of the fire incident to the media.
He revealed that the Gandacherra Contractors Association had officially commenced operations on September 14. Previously, the association was a part of the Ambassa Contractors Association. Recently, a new office building for the Gandacherra Contractors Association was constructed adjacent to the Gandacherra R&D department. The inauguration of this new building was scheduled for the upcoming Sunday.
However, the plans were thwarted when the office was set on fire, resulting in the complete destruction of various furniture and property worth approximately Rs 5-6 lakh.
He further announced that the association would file a case regarding the incident at the Gandacherra police station, demanding a thorough investigation and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.
