Cooperation of locals makes developmental woks easier: Tripura CM

Agartala Dec 28: Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday morning visited Modern Club, North Badharghat and Bhattapukur areas under Bordowali assembly constituency to inspect the well-being of the people in the areas and inquire if they have any sort of issues.
The chief minister was accompanied by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, AMC Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav, Corporator Abhijit Mallik and other officials and local leaders.
Dr Manik Saha held talks with the local residents regarding the renovation of the Bhattapukur pond and also assured to solve their problems at the earliest.
Speaking in this context, chief minister Dr Manik Saha said, “A lot of things have got complicated in earlier times and polluted too. This will need time to renovate and make it suitable for human use”.
Castigating the earlier left government, the chief minister slammed the so-called leaders for occupying land of others showing muscle power and in the name of party.
He said, “The only pond in Bhattapukur needs to be saved, the people who are claiming it to be their property are not real owners and therefore necessary steps will be taken to renovate Pond for human use”.
The chief minister added, “There is lack of proper surveillance in the work done by various contractors like road renovation and many more”.
The chief minister further urged the co-operation of all the locals and directed the officials to start the renovation work at the earliest.
