Agartala, July 16: As many as 1,60,183 eligible people have already been administered the precaution doses of Covid vaccine, according to an official report.

In Tripura, the Covid vaccination has commenced on January 16, last year. 

As of now, 55,25,980 jabs have been administered in the state-- 28,95,610 people received the first shot, 24,70,187 people received the second dose and the figure also included 1,60,183 Precaution Doses.

The official report said, 1,61,710 doses were available in Tripura as on July 15.

Meanwhile, as part of the nationwide programme, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday launched “Covid Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav”, a 75-day campaign for administering free precautionary doses for 18-59 age groups.

The vaccination drive inaugurated at IGM Hospita inl Agartala received good response across the state on the first day.
