CPI(M) and students’ body held Tripura Govt responsible for bus tragedy in Assam

Agartala, May 02: The opposition CPI(M) and the students’ body of the SFI jointly with the DYFI and TYF on Thursday held the government responsible for the bus tragedy in Assam’s Dima Hasao district, where one job aspirant of the state died and others critically injured.
The CPI(M) in its press communique stated, “It is not difficult for anyone to understand that the Tripura State Cooperative Bank has sifted the state examination center outside the state on the advice of the BJP-IPFT-Tipra Motha led coalition government to harass the unemployed youth of the state. The CPI (M) strongly protested this decision.”
It further stated that the candidates of the state were forced to move abroad to appear for their examination and in that situation one job aspirant of the state had to give up his life in the bus accident and others were critically injured.
The CPI(M) demanded the government to initiate compensation for the deceased family and treatment of other injured youths with government expenditure.
On the other hand, the SFI jointly with the DYFI and TYF on Thursday morning staged a protest infront of the State Cooperative Bank here at Agartala and had also held the government responsible for the incident.
The DYFI state president Palash Bhowmik said that it is a complete failure of the present double-engine government that it could not accommodate 19000 job aspirants to write their examination within the state for the recruitment of TSCB.
“We believe that the government is responsible for the bus tragedy that took place on Thursday, where the youths of our state fell prey where they are battling for their life while another died. The incident happened due to the negligence role of the government,” he told reporters.
He also demanded the government to ensure compensation for the deceased family and treatment of the injured persons with government expenditure.
