Agartala, Feb 21: The CPI(M) East Agartala Regional Committee on Friday staged a protest and held the Agartala Municipal Corporation responsible for mosquito menace in the areas under the Municipal wards here in Agartala.

The party leader Amal Chakraborty led the protest rally here at Agartala Ashram Chowmuhni and said that the AMC is presently reeling under crisis, where the concerned authority has failed to recruit adequate manpower and ensure adequate number of essentials for prevention of mosquito menace.

He also targeted the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha to allege that the health sector of the state is also reeling under crisis, having no professional doctor and nurses. He said that the patients in the prime referral hospital are suffering and dying in ICU due to lack of oxygen. 

He also accused the government and alleged of deteriorated law and order situation. He kept on castigating the government and alleged that incidents of attacks are happening on a regular basis across the state, especially in the capital town of Agartala.
