Agartala, Oct 31: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Tripura sector joined the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on Monday.

On this occasion, the officers, SOs and Jawans of CRPF Tripura Sector participated in pledge taking ceremony followed by a 'Run for Unity' from Swami Vivekananda Stadium to Umakanta Academy, Agartala. 

Similarly, the officers, JCOs and jawans of GC Agartala, 71, 124, 140 and 225 battalions of CRPF participated in "Run for Unity" in their respective areas of responsibility followed by pledge  taking ceremony with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed on October 31 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a pivotal role in unifying the country.
