Agartala, Apr 25: West Agartala police on Wednesday arrested two more accused in connection with the sensational murder of deed writer Amit Acharjee.

The two accused- Digvijay Modak and Shivdoot Baruah were produced before the court on Thursday.

As of now, total six accused- four advocates and two advocate clerks-- were arrested in the murder case, said Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das.

Acharjee came under an attack in the premises of Additional District Court on September 5, last year. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment in a Kolkata based hospital on September 23, last.

The police officer said, three advocates- Gopal Singh, Anirban Talapatra and Rajesh Sarkar along with advocate clerk Rajib Deb were held earlier. According to CCTV footage more people were involved in the incident. He said, the other identified accused would be arrested soon.
