Development of health sector topmost priority of Tripura govt: CM

Agartala, Sept 10: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday said development of the healthcare sector is topmost priority of his government.
With improvement in the health services, the number of refer cases has also come down in the state, he said after inaugurating 10-bedded Mirza Primary Health Centre in Gomati district.
Addressing the inaugural programme, Dr. Saha said, the state government is working to develop all necessary infrastructures in the public health system. He also said, cancer treatment in the state is now reaching a new height.
He said, the newly-inaugurated health facility would benefit the people of Mirza to a great extent.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a Health and Wellness Centre under Ayushman Bharat project at Jamjuri area in Udaipur. The inauguration of this health facility fulfilled the long-standing demand of the people of Jamjuri, he said.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Health secretary Dr. Debashis Basu, director Dr. Radha Debbarma and other dignitaries.
Dr. Saha also participated in a party’s joining programme at Kakraban- Salgarah constituency where 303 CPI-M voters from 74 families joined the saffron camp.
MLA Biplab Ghosh, BJP state general secretary Tinku Roy and party’s Gomati district president Abhishek Debroy among others were present in the party programme.
