Churaibari Aug 21: Hundred of labourers engaged in loading-unloading of stones held a demonstration at Churaibari rail station premises on Sunday.

According to the agitating labourers, boulder traders are not bringing stones to Churaibari railway station owing to the poor condition of the railway yard at Churaibari. Moreover, the road connecting the Churaibari Station is also broken and in precarious condition.

All of these taken together are preventing the boulder traders from bringing stones to Churaibari leading to the loss of work of 400 labourers.

As a result, these workers are losing their jobs and livelihood. They demanded immediate repairing of the yards. Pointing out precarious road conditions, the workers drew the attention of the railway authority and demanded immediate renovation of the road.

After the demonstration, the aggrieved labourers handed over a memorandum to the Station Master. The
