Discussion to mark 71st All-India cooperative week held in Kalyanpur

Kalyanpur, Nov 20: As part of the 71st All-India Cooperative Week, Khowai district hosted a discussion on the role of cooperatives in building a developed India at Kalyanpur Lotus Community Hall on Wednesday.
State Cooperative Minister Shukla Charan Noatia inaugurated the programme in presence of other dignitaries.
Minister Noatia emphasized the Prime Minister’s focus on strengthening the cooperative system and highlighted the importance of empowering villages for a developed India.
He encouraged people to utilize cooperative services like LAMPS, PACS and societies to enhance rural livelihoods and the economy.
MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury stressed the need to rebuild the cooperative backbone damaged under previous governments.
He highlighted BJP’s efforts to revive PACS and LAMPS, enabling rural people to access low-interest loans instead of relying on exploitative microfinance companies.
Officials and dignitaries, including ADC Abhijit Chakraborty and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Aparna Sinha Roy, participated in the event.
