DoNER sanctions Rs. 717 cr for five projects of Tripura: CM

Agartala, Feb 09: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said the Ministry of DoNER approved five projects worth Rs. 716 crore for the state.
He said the projects included Drugs De-addiction Centre at Bishramganj (Rs. 121 crore), a 200-bedded Women and Child Care Unit at AGMC and GBP Hospital (Rs. 192 crore) and construction of Agartala Government Dental College (Rs. 202 crore).
The Chief Minister inaugurated several new facilities at Amarpur and Karbook sub-divisions of Gomati district on Friday.
He inaugurated a 50-bedded Field Hospital and OT Complex of Amarpur Sub-Divisional Hospital, Gomati district. He said, the new medical facility will fulfill the long-standing aspirations of the people of this region.
The Chief Minister said, the present state government has been strengthening the infrastructure in various sub-divisional and district hospitals to realise the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Mod in ensuring healthcare to all.
During his visit to Chellagang, Karbook he also interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes including PMAY, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission and Social Allowance.
Earlier on the day, as part of the government's committed efforts to further improve law and order and enhance security of the people, the Chief Minister dedicated a new police station at Chellagang of Nutan Bazar in Gomati district.
He alao inaugurated Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Type-IV Hostel attached to Chalkaham H.S. School Ground, Karbook.
The Chief Minister said, Tthe 100-seated Hostel built at cost of Rs. 2,28,68,000 will largely benefit the girl students of this region.
