Drug Addiction Fuels Theft in Santirbazar Subdivision

Santirbazar March 26: The growing issue of drug addiction among the youth in Santirbazar subdivision has taken a troubling turn, with a series of thefts being linked to the need to fund this addiction.
A group of thieves has been orchestrating thefts across the region, targeting various establishments to sustain their involvement in the drug trade.
On Tuesday night, these thieves targeted Nishikumar Murasing Para High School in Murasing Para. They stole 17 sacks of rice, amounting to 8 quintals, which were intended for the school's meal preparation. The theft did not stop there; the group also took a gas cylinder from a nearby Anganwadi center, further highlighting the audacity of their actions.
Upon receiving news of the theft, the police from Manpathar Outpost arrived at the scene on Wednesday. They conducted a thorough inspection of the site and are now tasked with identifying and apprehending those responsible for the crime.
The community now awaits the police's efforts to bring the culprits to justice and restore a sense of safety in Santirbazar subdivision.
