Agartala, July 15: Addressing a press conference here on Friday, DYFI Tripura State committee alleged that the state education minister Ratan Lal Nath is misleading the youths of Tripura with fabricated and fake figures of employment. The student and youth wing of the Left Front announced a battle against the ruling BJP for playing with the lives of thousands of unemployed youths in the state. The opposition CPI-M’s youth body – DYFI state committee challenged the education minister on Friday over publication of actual recruitment rate in various government departments of the state.
Day after the minister Ratan Lal Nath announced that he will publish the employment rate in various government departments within the next 10-11 days, the DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb on Friday castigated him and alleged, “The education minister misleading and cheating the unemployed youths of the state in the name of recruitments.”
“At a time when the BJP government had failed to meet their pre-poll promises of offering 50000 jobs, the state’s education minister is now indulged in giving fake facts to the people of this state,” he said and further alleged that soon after forming government in Tripura BJP had cancelled at least 16000 recruitments which were processed by the then Left front government in the name of new recruitment policy.
He said, “Government is sitting idle to give false facts when the number of vacant posts had risen to around 62000 during the last four-and-half-year including the previous 35000 vacant posts during the time of the Left front government.”
The DYFI leader objected to the out-sourcing recruitment policy of the BJP government and alleged, “The government in its so-called record of employment and recruitments shockingly included the number of recruitments done by outsourcing and it even included the recruitment of SPO jawans which is not of under regular pay scale.”
“We strongly oppose the outsourcing recruitment policy and demand the government to immediately form a proper recruitment policy for the welfare of the rising unemployed youths of the state,” adding to this Deb challenged the education minister Ratan Lal Nath over publication of actual facts pertaining to the actual recruitment number in various government department within the next 10-11 days.
