Agartala/Belonia Nov 03: Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), Tripura State Committee observed the 43rd Foundation Day of the party with due dignity across the state.
The DYFI North Agartala Local Committee paid tributes at the martyrs’ altar and hoisted the party flag at the GB Bazaar area of the capital city.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that DYFI has pledged to strengthen the organization further and will intensify its movement across the state with demands related to public interest.
Slamming the ruling BJP government, the DYFI leaders said, “The ruling BJP has cheated the youths of the state with false promises prior to the 2018 assembly elections. None of the promises enlisted in the Vision Document has been fulfilled”.
Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was organized in the capital city on the occasion of 43rd Foundation Day of DYFI.
Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar attended the blood donation camp.
Speaking to the reporters, Manik Sarkar said, “Blood is something that cannot be made in any factory or is sold in any shop. Doctor prescribes blood to save patients”.
He added, various frontal organizations of the Left Front are organizing blood donation camps across the state in a bid to mitigate crisis of blood.
Castigating the ruling BJP government over attacks on opposition political party programs, leaders and activists, Sarkar said, “Because of the he fear of losing popularity and gradually becoming isolated from the people for their anti-people policies and misrule, the BJP is conducting attacks on opposition”.
Referring to the attack on CPI-M leader Tapash Dutta’s residence in Belonia where a blood donation camp was organized on Thursday, Sarkar said, “BJP is misusing the youth of the society and taking them towards wrong direction. These attacks are nothing but the result of fear of losing support of the people”.
On the other hand, CPIM Belonia sub-divisional committee secretary Tapas Dutta’s residence was attacked by miscreants on Thursday morning.
Fences of the house were broken down along with brick batting and stone pelting.
Tapas Dutta alleged that miscreants owing allegiance to the ruling BJP organized the attack to disrupt the Blood donation camp organized on this day in view of DYFI foundation day.
Meanwhile, ignoring fear, intimidation and terror, DYFI leaders, activists and supporters attended the blood donation camp and donated blood.
