East PC: 1,94,507 voters in Unakoti dist, says DEO

Agartala/ Kailashahar, Apr 26: Along with other parts of East Tripura parliamentary constituency, the voters of Unakoti district are all set to exercise their democratic rights on Friday.
On the eve of the voting, District Magistrate (District Election Officer), Unakoti- Dilip Kumar Chakma briefed the media about the poll preparedness and other relevant matters.
He said, a total of 1,94,507 voters-- 97,499 male voters, 97,069 female voters and 2 third genders-- are enrolled to cast their votes in 225 polling stations of the Unakoti district. Additional security measures have been ensured in all 25 vulnerable polling stations of the district.
The total number of women-managed polling stations in the district is 8. Besides, 8 model polling stations are also there.
The District Magistrate said, the law and order is normal in the district and three complaints received from political parties have been addressed immediately.
There are deployments of adequate security personnel for conducting the election in a free, fair and peaceful election.
Senior deputy magistrate Bijoy Sinha was also present in the press conference.
