Agartala, March 17: Elections of the Agartala Deed Writers’ Association was held here at Agartala on Monday, where Pradip Kumar Pal grabbed 58 votes, the highest vote in the election.

Briefing the reporters regarding the election, convenor of the election informed that the election is being held after every three years and so far elections were held in a peaceful manner.

He further informed that Prashenjit Chowdhury got the lowest vote of 31 only, while Sunil Patwari and Amalendu Datta tied up with 31 votes each.

A total of 13 candidates contested the election for 11 posts in the association.
