Boxanagar, Nov 03: In a joint operation by Sepahijala District Police and BSF, a large number of fire-crackers and liquor were recovered from a shop and five go-downs in North Kalamchoura Bazar under Boxanagar police station on Thursday. 

The market value of seized items is around Rs 50 lakh.

Based on specific input from BSF sources, a joint operation team led by 150-BN BSF G-Branch, DCG, Company Commander of Boxanagar BOP Vinod Devarani, Company Commander of Batadola BOP Ashok Mediwal, Additional Superintendent of Police of Sepahijla District Sabbir Ahmed, Kalamchoura police station officer-in-charge Bishnupada Bhowmik, sub-inspector David Darlong along with other personnel raided a local shop and five nearby godowns.
