Four LF student and youth wings stages protest at Sikhsha Bhavan

Agartala July 18: Demanding adequate number of teachers in state government schools, Monday Four wings of Opposition Left Front stages protest demonstration in front of Siksha Bhavan, Agartala.
Talking to the media at the protest spot, SFI state committee secretary Sandipan Deb said, the state government schools are reeling through acute crisis of teachers, whereas a huge number of TET qualified unemployed youths are sitting jobless at homes. He added the state govt and the education department has decided to recruit only 600 teachers where the rest of the qualified youths will be bound to wait till the next recruitment.
Deb further added everyday large number of students from various schools across the state is seen protesting on roads demanding adequate number of teachers. Deb slammed the state government and education minister for providing misleading data over recruitment.
DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb said the protest will continue till the state govt and the education department takes measures to recruit adequate number of teachers in the schools and recruit the qualified unemployed youths at the earliest.
Later a delegation of the LF wings placed deputation to the Director of Education.
