Agartala, Jan 25: Four students from Tripura have been awarded in the national level with ‘Veer Gaatha’ awards.

The awardees are- Sagar Debbarma (Eklavya Model Residential School, Khumlung- Essay), Hridam Roy (Sri Krishna Mission School- Essay), Meghraj Debroy (RKM Vidyalaya, Viveknagar- Painting/ Drawing) and Ishika Shil (Teliamura H.S. School- Poem).

They are among the Super-100 winners of Veer Gatha 4.0, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated all the awardees for their remarkable achievements in the national level.

On Saturday, the awards were presented to the four students from Tripura and 96 others at a ceremony held at the Hall of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in New Delhi.

The event was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of State Sanjay Seth, and senior Indian Army officials.
