Agartala, Feb 08: The CPI-M party’s all India youth leader Minakshi Mukherjee Wednesday came down heavily on the BJP party in Tripura and alleged that the future of the unemployed youths and students of this state were ruined during the last 58 months of the BJP government.
Addressing a party rally at Jolaibari in South Tripura district the DYFI secretary of West Bengal unit Minakshi Mukherjee said, “People of Tripura will fly red colours after February 16 and that red colours will be on the sky of Tripura not for any ministers and MLAs, or neither it will be to make anybody crorepati, rather that red colours will be on the sky for the poor farmers of this state.”
Taking a jibe at the BJP at the centre and state she said, “The way the BJP party before 2014 made false promises of 2 crore employment annually, the BJP in Tripura before 2018 tempted the unemployed youths of the state by making false promises of 50000 jobs annually. Where is employment?”
“This time nobody can stop the Left-Congress alliance from sweeping this election, because the Left never lies to the people. This election is to fight for employment for the deprived youths of this state and therefore we promised 2.5 lakh ne jobs,” she said.
Appealing to the voters to vote for the Left front, she slammed the BJP and said, “Prices of essential commodities hiked at its height and the value of human life reduced in Tripura during the past 58 months.”
She however mocked the ‘double-engine’ government and said, “This double-engine government in Tripura started moving reverse rather than moving forward for the development of Tripura.”
On the other hand, SFI leader Dipshita Dhar addressing a party rally at Khowai on Wednesday slammed the BJP party and alleged that the party worked with its politics of hatred in Tripura, where the oppositions and general people were targeted.
“The BJP snatched the democratic rights of the people of Tripura during the past five years and discovered attacks on the oppositions,” she alleged.
She however appealed to the voters to oust the BJP and help in forming Left-Congress government in Tripura and said, “The new government of the Left-Congress will ensure safety and security of the women and rescue the state from the politics of hatred.”
