Dharmanagar, July 12:  The Golden Valley English Medium School of Dharmanagar has been shifted to Padmapur as new construction of the school building started.  Meanwhile, the traditional English Medium School Golden Valley had been brought under CBSE Board 2 years ago. But the classrooms were very small in comparison to the number of students.

So the State Government had allotted funds for the construction of a new school building.  Accordingly, the school authority had temporarily shifted to the site of Central School at Padmapur so that the students could continue their regular classes. A programme was organized on Tuesday on the occasion of shifting.  Deputy Speaker Biswabandhu Sen, Chairperson of Municipal Council Pradyot Dey Sarkar and Social worker Shyamal Nath, along with teachers and students of the school were present at the programme.  Meanwhile, a cultural programme was organized with the initiative of the school at Dharmanagar Town Hall in the evening on Tuesday.
