Agartala, July 17: A plan has been taken to hoist Tricolour in 4 lakh houses of Tripura as part of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.
He was briefing the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a video conference regarding the preparations in Tripura for 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Abhiyan.
The 4 lakhs National Flags would be prepared by various Self Help Groups, Handloom and Handicrafts department, SC Welfare department, Panchayat and private producers.
He said, distribution of the four lakhs National Flags would take place through Ration Shops, Post Office and Panchayats.
Dr. Saha also apprised the Union Home Minister that Gram Sabha would be organized by the state government to raise awareness among the people about the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
Besides, other initiatives like postering in road side, spread of promotional videos in Bengali and Kokborok languages, and spread of awareness message by eminent personalities on social media would be initiated to make the campaign successful, the Chief Minister said.
He also stated that a detailed notification regarding hoisting of National Flags on 13-15 August would be issued by the Tripura government.
Along with the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs department Abhishek Chandra and Secretary of He department Sharadindu Chowdhury also took part in the video conference.
'Har Ghar Tiranga' is a campaign announced by the central government as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration to inspire the young generation for patriotism on the occasion of 75th year of the country's Independence.
