Agartala, Jan 05: In yet another tragic incident, where the workers of the power office were accused of their negligence, a house of a priest in Bishalgarh sub division was burned into ashes after a broken high tension wire fell on the house.

The incident took place on Saturday midnight in the house of the priest Rajesh Acharjee at Acharyamura in Ratan Nagar under Bishalgarh sub division, after a high tension of the area suddenly fell into the house of Rajesh Acharjee and started burning.

Alarmed by the incident the locals gathered infront of the house and informed the Jangalia power office, where the staff of the power office allegedly made no response to the phone calls of the worried locals. After a long period of time, one worker Tapan Datta picked up the phone call and allegedly made excuses to send staff to the incident spot.

Although the locals managed to bring the fire under control, but before that the house of Rajesh Acharya burnt into ashes. Moreover, the fire engine crews failed to reach the incident spot due to the bad condition of the road.
