Agartala: April 23: Positioning the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the harbinger of development and change against the backdrop of the “CPIM’s misrule”, Minister for Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Choudhury urged the people to vote for BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma on April 26.
In an election rally held at Ampinagar Girls School grounds on Tuesday, State Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury expressed his confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) governance and its commitment to the welfare of the state’s populace.
He emphasized that the BJP-led government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, is dedicated to the development of the people and has garnered significant public trust.
Chowdhury highlighted the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as a pivotal moment for the BJP, predicting a sweeping victory for the party’s nominees, including Kriti Singh Debbarma, the candidate for the East Tripura constituency.
He attributed the anticipated success to the people’s support for the BJP’s developmental initiatives and their collective efforts to secure a win for Prime Minister Modi.
The minister underscored the importance of the election in realizing Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047 and called for strengthening the Prime Minister’s efforts for future generations.
He also reflected on the political landscape since 2014, noting the decline of corruption that had plagued the country during the Congress era and critiquing the CPIM-Congress alliance as lacking cohesion and destined to disintegrate.
Chowdhury condemned the previous atmosphere of violence under CPIM and Congress rule, suggesting that their current unity is a source of shame.
The minister’s remarks conveyed a strong message of optimism for the BJP’s prospects in the forthcoming elections.
