Agartala Jun 11: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha emphasized the efforts being made to harness its abundant natural resources for achieving a higher rate of development.
Dr Saha was speaking at a programme organized by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Tripura State unit in Agartala on Sunday. In the programme, the Chief Minister was felicitated by the Association. On behalf of the State unit of the Association, a cheque of Rs 1 lakh was handed over to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, who himself is a renounced Dental surgeon, appreciated the activities of the dental surgeons in the State. He urged them also to take note of the development that is happening in the State and work for the betterment of society as well as the country.
“Dental surgeons have enormous opportunities to work for society. It is pertinent to utilize the opportunities to work for the common people. In the work field, several obstacles may arise, however, it is important to overcome the hurdles and move on”, Dr Saha said.
He also pointed out that many of the dental surgeons after completing the courses started working independently without waiting for a government job. The Chief Minister asserted he is also giving importance to how to help them with bank loans and other ways.
Addressing the gathering Dr Saha highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led Central and State governments.
“Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State and central government are working in tandem for the welfare of people”, the Chief Minister said and added, Tripura is racing forward in Education, agriculture, health and other sectors. He also mentioned advancement achieved in road, rail, air and internet connectivity in the State.
To take the development to the next level, the Chief Minister stressed on the need to optimize the utilization of natural resources like Gas, Tea and Bamboo.
In the programme, president of the Indian Dental Association, Tripura State Unit Dr Samir Ranjan Dutta Chowdhury, secretary Dr Sajal Roy, joint secretary Dr Sumit Kumar Roy and others were present.
